BTCC Season 2025 – Donington Park Qualifying
It’s qualifying time here at Donnington Park and the weather has clouded over again, but the temperature has remained reasonably constant.
Charles was out in the 12 car first part of Qualifying part 1 and it is important to remember that with it being only a 10 minute session, that you potentially only get 3 or 4 flying laps!
With 3 minutes left on the session, Charles was still 3rd, with the top 6 from this group going through. Tom Ingram and Dan Cammish then went to the top of the times on their last laps, but Charles was through in 5th! A great effort.
In part 2, Aiden was third out onto the track behind Jake Hill and Daryl De Leon in the other BMW’s. Once again, a couple of warm up laps were using up 3 minutes of the 10 minute session. At the 6 minute mark, Aiden was top of the timing screens as everyone started to speed up. As the others improved, Aiden was really unlucky as he had missed that first session and the car wasn’t quite there for him and he ended the session 10th.
Next up was the 12 cars going into the 2nd part of Qualifying and this included Charles. With multiple drivers having laps disallowed the timing screens were flashing away with no-one really sure of the order. At the chequered flag, Charles was 12th and so this is where he will start his first BTCC race tomorrow with Aiden 20th.
