BTCC 2025 Knockhill – Qualifying

BTCC Season 2025 – KNOCKHILL – QUALIFYING

So, let’s just get that out there…. THAT’S POLE BABY!!

There is definitely more than that though as Charle’s takes his first pole in the BTCC and BMW’s 4th pole in 5 years here at Knockhill on a hot and sunny afternoon.

It was a triumph for the whole team with Aiden in the top ten in 10th, just a couple of hundredth’s of a second behind. With both cars blitzing the first parts of Qualifying, it was down to those finest of margins, and in the top 12 shootout, Aiden was so close to going through to the top 6, but 10th is a really competitive place to start for the hometown hero!

Charles was 3rd in that shootout, but an amazing performance on lap 3 of the top 6 shoot out was enough for his first pole in his BTCC rookie season. Interestingly, the BMW’s who have been below par recently were all in the top 10!

This makes tomorrow a real celebration for the team, and with Charles and Aiden in such fantastic positions, we are all going to get an early night and be on it from the word go tomorrow.

Full coverage is on ITV 4 across the 3 races, and we will bring you the action as it happens.

BTCC 2025 Knockhill Qualifying Update

Charles remains on pole, but Dan Rowbottom’s car was later disqualified having failed post-qualifying weight checks.

This means that Aiden will now start Race 1 from P9 on the grid.

Charles said: “This is unreal, I can’t believe it, this is something I’ve dreamed of. I struggled in FP1 and FP2, I wanted to change the setup of the car but Dick Bennetts was right. It’s all mental and the car was just amazing. Thanks to WSR and everyone involved. I just want to keep learning and keep improving, it’s my first pole position in professional motorsport, so I’m over the moon.”

Aiden said: “I am so pleased for Charles, he was brilliant in qualifying and really deserves that result. Obviously I will be fighting to be at the front with him tomorrow, but BMW have certainly given us a much more competitive car for this awesome circuit. Mind you, I think the lucky cap I bought Charles is probably the real reason he’s at the front!”
