BTCC 2025 Knockhill – Race 1

BTCC Season 2025 – Knockhill – Race 1

Welcome to raceday here at Knockhill in Fife where we were treated to a glorious sunrise and it is now hot and very sunny. As we head out for Race 1 it already 20 degrees and the track temperature is rising above 25 degrees. With Knockhill being one of the shortest tracks on the calendar, we are on 24 laps and the real prospect of lapping back markers. Aiden starts from P9, and Charles is on his first ever Pole!

Charles got a great start off the line and set about building a lead for himself using his maximum boost. This proved difficult with 2 fellow WSR BMW’s behind him and Daryl Deleon seemed particularly aggressive in 2nd. DeLeon briefly got ahead on lap 8, but Charles was able to immediately retake the lead.

On lap 13, Charles came under pressure and was passed by Jake Hill. Not quite able to respond, Jake was able to retain 2nd place through to the end of the race for a fantastic podium.

Not to be out done, Aiden was like a bullet off the line. By the end of the first lap he had gained 2 places to sit 7th. Having built a big lead in 7th, Aiden set about chasing down P6 and was able to complete the overtake on lap 19 where ye stayed in 6th to the end. A tremendous effort.

Race 2 will therefore see Charles start second and Aiden in 6th. It’s getting hotter out there so let’s see what we can keep our cool and bag some more silverware!
