BTCC Season 2025 – Knockhill – Race 2
Welcome back to Knockhill where the temperature has reached 23 degrees in a cloudless sky and the track temperature was up at 35!! This proved to be a turning point for Charles due to the tyre rules. Under those rules, the top 3 cars in Race 1 have to run the harder compound of tyre in Race 2, which for Charles was the medium compound.
In reality, the medium tyres didn’t hook up for Charles and he was down from P” to P3 on the first lap. This dropped him into a huge battle with 4 other cars and on laps 6,7 and 8, he dropped to eighth. The tyre and competition pain didn’t end there though and as the tyres continued to drop off, Charles finished in 16th.
Aiden on the soft tyre was having a better race gaining a place on lap 1, but in the middle laps he was passed by team mates Jake Hill and Daryl De Leon to finish 7th and gain another good haul of points.
As the temperatures continue to climb, we move on to Race 3 later this afternoon with Aiden starting P7 and Charles in P16, but with the better tyres!
