BTCC Season 2025 – thruxton – race 2
Race 2 sees us in cloudier conditions here at Thruxton, but mercifully there is no prospect of rain at this point in time, despite the heavier clouds.
Once again, both cars got a good start with Aiden passing Dan Lloyd on lap one to gain a place, only for Lloyd to reclaim the place on lap 8. Then Aiden lost a place to Charles and the 2 were flying in formation until both were able to gain a place on the last lap. This would have left Aiden in 14th for Race 3, but the disqualification of Josh Cook for a ride height infringement meant that Aiden will, in fact, start race 3 from P13.
Charles starting from 17th on the grid was able to take Gordon Shedden for 16th on lap 1, before gaining an extra place by passing Mikey Doble on lap 3. On lap 11, Charles passed Aiden and stayed in front of Aiden right to the chequered flag. Once again Cook’s demotion gained everyone an extra place on the grid for the last race of the day and Charles will start in 11th, directly in front of Aiden.
