BTCC Season 2025 – SNETTERTON 300 – RACE 2
You join us here for race 2 at a time of controversy. With only a few minutes to go before Race 2, Aiden has received news that he was found to be overboosted after Race 1 and as a result will start from the back of the field. Aiden was doubly hampered by a gearbox issue and so he had it all to do!
As with the rest of the day it was sunny and cloudy by turn and the wind was well above a gentle breeze. So it was that Charles lined up in 12th, with Aiden down in 25th.
Charles got away well, and despite losing a place on lap 2, he was quickly back up to 12th, before getting up to 11th on lap 5. He was then able to gain an extra place on lap 6 to go up to 10th before pulling off a fabulous overtake on Ash Sutton to finish 9th.
Aiden was absolutely flying off the line and was up 6 places to 19th by the end of lap 1 and then up to 18th on lap 3. Another great move to 17th followed on lap 6 before then up to 16th on lap 7 in a masterful drive. This where Aiden remained to the end of the lap in an enthralling battle with fellow scot and former champion, Gordon Shedden.
The reverse grid was drawn as number 6, which means that Charles will start P9 and Aiden P16 for the last race of the day which we will bring you later!
