BTCC Season 2025 – SNETTERTON 300 – FREE PRACTICE 1
Good morning everyone and welcome to Snetterton Circuit here in Norfolk for the 3rd instalment of the 2025 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship. As we arrived at the circuit this morning, we were in heavy rain, wonderful for the farmers, less so for the team and the drivers. As we started Free Practice 1, the rain had eased, but this gives everyone the headache of finding a decent set up on a damp track that is neither wet or dry.
Following on from our fantastic performances at Brands Hatch last time out, this was a learning curve for the whole team in the slippery rather than outright wet conditions. With the various set ups being tested, both Charles and Aiden both reported good confidence in the set ups and the boys went hunting for some quick times.
With both cars doing 13 fast laps each, it was towards the end of the session that the best laps came, and how good were they? Well, Charles carried on from his Race 3 pace in the last round and was able to take 2nd quickest in the session. Aiden wasn’t far behind to finish in a fantastic 10th spot.
This is a really good start to the weekend, but as we always say in Free Practice 1, this is really bonly the start of the weekend and it can be difficult to compare this to the pace that we and others will have in a few hour’s time for Qualifying.
Free Practice 2 is just after 12.00 and we will bring you that as soon as we can.
