BTCC Season 2025 – Silverstone National Race 2
Here we are back at Silverston after lunch with a gorgeous autumn day with lots of blue sky and some lovely fluffy clouds.
Aiden started in 6th place, but on the medium tyres, whilst after post race changes from Race 1, Charles started in 14th, but on the soft tyre. Aiden got a good staff, but was forced wide at turn 1 dropping him to 7th. Charles got a blistering start on the soft rubber and was up to 12th by the end of the first lap.
On the next lap, a hard charging Dan Rowbottom on the soft tyre passed Aiden, and after 6 laps he was in 9th. Charles soon joined in in a great battle with Tom Chilton, who eventually made a mistake, hitting Charles and causing a safety car.
After the safety car, Charles was on a mission and after some great overtakes was able to bring the car home in 5th. Aiden meanwhile was wringing the neck of his medium tyres to great effect and was able to bring the car home in 8th place.
After the reverse grid for Race 3, Aiden will start 5th on the grid, with Charles 3 places behind in 8th. We will bring you the action after the race which starts at 10 past 5.
