BTCC Season 2025 – Brands Hatch GP Race 2

The clouds have built up here at Brands Hatch as we come out for the penultimate race of the season. Both Aiden and Charles were still confident vin the car varount this Grand Prix circuit
Lap 1 and Charles was up to 2nd off the line and Aiden also gained 3 place in that first lap. At the start of lap 2, champion elect Tom Ingram on the soft tyre retook second place from Charles, whilst Aiden was flying, up 6 places to 14th.
On lap 4, Charles had a moment at Hawthorns and at the start of lap 5, Charles was hit twice by Arron Taylor-Smith going into Paddock hill, pushing him off at high speed into the barriers and causing a safety car. Let’s hope that shocking piece of driving doesn’t cost Charles the Jack Sears Trophy.

On the restart, Aiden was in a brilliant 11th, up from 20th with 10 laps left. 2 laps later and we had another safety car as Josh Cook, already under a driving standards flag hit Aron Taylor-Smith into the barriers at Druids.
Once again we restarted and Aiden was pushing hard on his medium tyres and was up to 9th! At the flag then, it was 9th for Aiden and our thoughts turn to whether Aiden will get a good reverse draw and whether the team can fix Charles’ car for race 3.
The reverse grid drew number 9, which put’s Aiden on pole for lap 3!! We have no news on Charles car yet, so we will see you for the last race of the season later.
