The Charge, The Leap, The Drop.

BTCC Season 2025 – Donington Park RACE 1

Hello everyone and welcome back to race day here at Donington Park in the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship. Aiden and Charles are champing at the bit to get going with the only news overnight is that Aiden has had a change to his 6th gear on the car ready for action.

The weather has turned warm, with bright sunshine, quickly reducing humidity and a track temperature of 25 degrees. The boys had immense faith in the new team and were confident of a great car!

Off the line it was a great start for Charles and Aiden both made up 3 places on lap 1 to 9th and 17th. Aiden was then up to 14th on lap 4, as Charles had a tough fight on his hands and was 11th.

Aiden was on a charge and was up in 12th when on lap 10 a safety car was caused by Josh Cook having a big crash into the tyre barrier at the chicane. Charles was up into 10th when on lap 16, he was hit, causing him off and forcing him back to 18th.

At the flag it was Aiden up a magnificent 11 places in 9th and Charles lacking a bit of luck down in 17th despite an excellent drive on his part. This is a great showing from the team in their new BMW’s so excellently prepared by WSR and really whet’s the appetite for the season ahead.

So we move on to Race 2 next and we look forward to bringing you all of the action then.
