BTCC Season 2025 – CROFT – Free Practice 2
Welcome back to the second Free Practise session here at Croft Circuit. The sun is out and the track temperature has risen sharply to 35.7 degrees and we were all systems go to lay down a marker. However, this is Touring Cars where anything can happen.
In the case of this session, that was 2 red flags, the first of which was as Tom Chilton had a sizeable shunt on the exit of Clervaux, with his Team VERTU Hyundai now in need of desperate repairs if he is make it out in Qualifying.
The session was brought to a premature end when the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK with IAA Corolla of James Dorlin had an off in the closing minutes. In the limited running time that we had, Aiden was the quickest of the BMW’s in 10th place on the session, with a time of 1:21.521. ahead of Charles, but with the lack of running in the session ahead of Qualifying, this could be a bit of a lottery at 3.30 this afternoon.
